Harbinson Mulholland client wins 'Spirit of Enterprise' Award

Harbinson Mulholland client, James Leckey Design, a world class leader in the design and manufacture of positioning equipment for children with special needs has recently been awarded the overall winner of the 2008 ‘Spirit of Enterprise Award’ at a ceremony at Parliament Buildings, Stormont.

The award, organised by the Ulster Society of Chartered Accountants and Hewlett-Packard in association with Business Eye, recognises local businesses in Northern Ireland who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and creativity.

James Leckey Design have been a client of Harbinson Mulholland since 1998 and in addition to providing audit and tax services, HM assisted them with both business advice and business plans during their years of development.

Established in 1982, Leckey Design now employs 80 people between its manufacturing base in Dunmurry and design centre in Belfast. It distributes its products through a direct sales force in the UK & Ireland, nationally across the USA and through most of Europe and Asia Pacific. The company is involved in active research with local universities and with key centres of excellence throughout the UK who help to stimulate new product development ideas.
