The Mount Charles Group - Weathering Storms and Coming Out Stronger

An event hosted by Harbinson Mulholland's Family Business Forum Friday 27th May, Europa Hotel Belfast.

Gavin Annon cleared tables as a child in his family's food forecourt. He worked checkouts in Tesco before joining Management, then eventually joined the business his father founded in 1988  - The Mount Charles Group.

As Sales & Marketing Director, Gavin was a key player in bringing the firm of over 2500 team members and substantial growth to the business across the island of Ireland Market in 2016. As Ireland's largest indigenous support services organisation, Gavin and his brother Chris now represent the 2nd generation of this  homegrown family firm with it's roots in Belfast.

Gavin will be sharing the Mount Charles story live on stage with his father Trevor Annon - from showing resilience in the face of adversity, to reinforcing his family's traditions and building an inherently strong company culture and value system.

Interviewing Gavin & Trevor will be our special guest host, Dr Craig Crossley from the University of Central Florida. Craig was one of the key personnel involved in developing our first all Ireland Family Business survey in 2021 alongside colleagues at Dublin City and Ulster University.

As an Associate Professor of Management, Craig continues to look for ways to bridge research and practice, adding value to the bottom line while educating future generations.

Prior to joining UCF, Craig was a Senior Manager at a Top 100 private company and his work has been recognised in Fortune Magazine.

Join us to enjoy lunch, meet other family businesses, hear up to date research and real life examples of resilience and culture.
