Professional Qualifications and Experience
Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Paul has been a member of the Institute from 1984, having trained and qualified with Price Waterhouse, ultimately becoming a partner in 1996, before leaving to form Harbinson Mulholland in 1998.
Since then he has advised a range of locally owned and managed businesses “from cradle to grave” and has experience of advising on starting a business, the challenges of growing and dealing with financial difficulties. He has also been involved in acquisitions and disposals of businesses, advising on structures and financial due diligence.
As a senior statutory auditor Paul is responsible for the audits of many of our larger corporate clients and he has considerable experience in business and share valuations for both tax and commercial purposes.
Paul also works in our forensic team on commercial cases, particularly where business valuations are required and in professional negligence cases.
Paul is a Non Executive Director of Workwest, a local enterprise agency.
Paul dreams of becoming an astrophysicist and hopes that in his lifetime we find evidence of life in another galaxy! So it’s not surprising that one of his ideal dinner party guests, along with Joss Whedon and John Peel, would include Prof Brian Cox. If Paul found £1 he would squander it on Brendan Dwyer’s weekly lottery syndicate!
